Connecting Black Women

As Black women we can't expect the places that broke us to fix us. We can, however,

re-center ourselves on our joy. We have the power to do that.

What are people saying about Connecting Black Women?

"Safe spaces for Black women are so necessary. Thank you."

"DO MORE OF THESE PLEASE!!! :)"

"Connecting with people authentically through this group is much better than traditional networking events."

"This event also gave me a nudge to prioritize being more intentional about relationship-building."

Connecting Black Women is a quarterly informal meeting place where Black women can meet, grow, and care. In this facilitated session, Black women can spend time focused on connecting with other Black women, sharing personal and professional goals, building their network, venting - whatever you need to feel more connected as you move through the day.

More details:

Who is this event for? This is an invite only event, but not an exclusive event - feel free to invite other Black women in your network. Attendees are not "curated" - it doesn't matter what industry you're from, how many years of experience you have, or where you live. You're welcome here.

What happens? What should I expect? The session will be facilitated, with small group conversations designed to first connect with what's familiar then connect to something new. Prompts will be provided for each breakout session to keep the conversation moving. Breakout groups may be assigned to maximize opportunities to meet someone new.

What should I prepare? Come as you are - this is an informal event. Engage at your own pace.

What if I can't stay or if I need to come late? This event is designed so that you can drop in and drop out as needed. We're all busy and finding time can be tough. If you're able to prioritize being there, even for a moment, you are welcome.

How many people will be there? Limited space available. Though any Black woman is invited to join, the event will be kept small to maximize opportunity to get to know each other.

How much does it cost? We intentionally keep the price of participation low in order to make the event as accessible as possible. The registration fee for each event is $10.
